Native Habitat Project Podcast: Episode 10

This podcast was recorded in the summer of 2022 when I was on staff with the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens (FBBG). Keith Turney, Horticulturist in the Kaul Wildflower Garden (KWG) at BBG, and I had so much fun sitting down with Kyle and Jake, two other fellow native plant nerds, and diving deep into the nitty gritty of our design process for KWG! We are a huge fans of what these guys are doing in the state of Alabama and across the country to bring awareness to native plants and the importance of understanding our wild landscapes. Be sure to check out the Native Habitat Project here where you will find links to their social media pages as well as their other podcast episodes! I hope this conversation inspires you to see your garden through a new lens!

And… to read more about the on-going restoration of KWG, read “Happily Ever Becoming” in the FBBG’s Fall 2022 issue of the Garden Dirt, linked here.
